Our Fees

Our Fees

At Arka Solicitors, our legal fees are charged on a Fixed Fee basis to provide clients with clear pricing and peace of mind. Our transparent, fixed fee quotes ensure no unexpected costs, which is particularly valuable for complex immigration cases and businesses seeking advice on Sponsor Licence matters. Our Fixed Fee structure also enables clients to plan their finances and manage cash flow more effectively, without the uncertainty of hourly billing.

Please note that Arka Solicitors Limited is not a VAT-registered company, which means we do not charge VAT on our professional fees. However, some third-party services that may be required during the course of your matter — such as interpreter or translator fees, expert reports, document translation, or Counsel (barrister) fees may be subject to VAT. Where such services are necessary, we will always inform you in advance of the costs involved, including whether VAT is applicable, and obtain your agreement before instructing any third-party provider on your behalf.

The fixed fee will only change if there are substantial changes in your circumstances which need significant extra work or you instruct us for a different matter. Please note that these are standard fees for standard services. Please CONTACT US for details or to discuss your specific requirements.

What services are included

The work will involve a comprehensive review of your circumstances to determine if this is the most appropriate application for you, and to explore any other available options. We will provide advice on the requirements of the Immigration Rules and assess whether you meet the necessary criteria. If there are any areas where you do not meet the criteria, we will discuss potential solutions and how to address these issues. We will review the supporting evidence you have provided and advise if any additional documents are needed. Where necessary with your consent, we will assist in obtaining further evidence, such as medical records, bank statements, or witness statements. We will prepare a covering letter with legal submissions in support of your application and guide you through the submission process, including advising on timelines and possible outcomes. If required, we will liaise with the Home Office on your behalf and provide advice on the outcome of your application and any subsequent steps you may need to take.

The costs quoted here do not include:

  • Any Home Office fees whether standard or super-priority/ priority service for making the application. You will pay this to the Home Office directly as part of the application process;
  • Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) applicable to your application;
  • Any charges associated with booking your appointment at Visa Application centre in the UK or outside the UK, and any exchange rates for Home Office fees paid in foreign currencies;
  • Where the Home Office refuse your application, advice and assistance in relation to any appeal;
  • If there is an interview and we do attend with you, there will be additional fees for our work and disbursements in respect of our mileage/travel expenses;
  • Any other expenses such as: medical/expert evidence/barristers/translation/interpreter.

Disbursements

Disbursements are cost that are payable to third parties and are not included in our legal fee estimates. You will need to pay for ‘disbursements’ in addition to our costs as described above. In an immigration matter the most common disbursements tend to relate to Home office fees, interpreter’s/translator’s fees, expert report fees, documents translation fees, and Counsel fees. This is not an exhaustive list and is meant purely for your guide.

Any Home Office and official fees vary depending on the type of application you are making. In the event you will require the services of an Interpreter, translator, or your documents need to be translated, we will confirm the fees of their services. The cost of their service may vary and incur VAT at 20%. Please note that you do not always have to use an interpreter/ translator or documents translation agencies of the firm's choosing.

If a Counsel is required, their fees generally range from £1,000 to £5,000, plus VAT (if applicable), depending on the level of experience, knowledge and skill. In relation to Independent expert reports e.g. medical experts. These are not required in many cases: we will let you know as soon as possible if we consider an expert report is necessary. If there is an interview and we do attend with you, there will be additional disbursements in respect of our mileage/travel expenses. You will need to pay all the disbursements separately in addition to the fees for our legal services.

Timescale

We cannot guarantee how long the Home Office will take to process your application. Read the current processing times. When we accept your instructions, we will provide an estimated timeline for preparing and submitting your application. Once your application has been submitted to the Home office , we will liaise with the Home Office if they have not complied with the standard processing time. Please note the anticipated number of hours and fees are an estimate based on the facts above. All applications are likely to vary and of course, we can give you a more accurate estimate once we have more information about your specific case.

Your matter will be handled by one of our experienced and qualified Immigration Solicitors. If you would like further information or to discuss your legal needs, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
